For the opening of the “GraffAnthology” exhibition at the Galleria Varsi, in Rome, on via di Grotta Pinta 38, on 27/09/2018, we will present the latest, long-awaited WTP publications IN FUNK WE TRUST and GLORIOUS 1.8. Besides these two works that will be distributed together, for the return of the WTP booklet that once again comes in its original fanzine form and easily accessible formula, you will find a super poster inside by FaKso.
In Funk We Trust, entirely curated by Imos, is a focus on some of the protagonists of the contemporary European graffiti writing scene. The common denominator is a so-called funk aesthetic, simple or complex shapes, spontaneous and vibrant. Each writer was asked to define his style and to select some particularly significant photos of his recent productions. Each shot is the result of an effort to affirm and distinguish oneself in public space for the quality of these graffiti.
THE BOOKSHOP
As testimony to the fundamental importance of documentation for graffiti writing, Varsi will host a rich bookshop and a small section of theme-related memorabilia for the duration of the exhibition, an excellent chance to discover sold-out editions or signed copies and receive WTP’s new free press publications.
