WTP Catalogue / Glorious 1.8
It might be because of its international content, but like the World Cup, even Glorious shows up again after four years, and to celebrate this return we have cooked up a double present. To start off with graffiti trainwriting, from Italy and his boiling Apulian “Tavoliere”, we have a special feature on the diehard Nore. Then we have Alex Fakso, who after having been on the cover of the very first issue of Glorious ten years ago, presents his new work this year, which goes to show once more how he manages to transfer a basic concept of graffiti and develop it through his photography. Plus a fantastic poster by Fakso that also pays homage to Poison’s now sold-out blackbook, from where it originally comes from. Then, to break the mold, there is the appendage In Funk We Trust, entirely curated by Imos, and suffice it to say that the list of great names inside is very long. The Rome metro has been running painted for 25 years and Jonathan Levin’s invaluable research project gives back, layer by layer, the memory of what has been painted on it during this time frame. After these contents in a celebratory ‘zine format, we felt obliged to promote Egowar magazine. From this collaboration that came about to highlight the recognition of one of the most radical magazines dedicated to international graffiti writing, WTP offers you guys a special edition GLORIOUS EGOWAR COMBO, go check it out on the website. The Glorious booklet is free with every Whole Train Press purchase or in the best graffiti shops… keep up with your “daily yard paper.”
